Hyderabad, March 8 -- Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy has stated that discussions have been held with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, to expedite the construction of the Regional Ring Road (RRR) around Hyderabad. Addressing the media at the BJP office, he mentioned that a tripartite agreement on project costs is yet to be finalised.
Reddy revealed that detailed discussions were conducted regarding the construction of the northern section of the RRR. The Centre has agreed to bear 50% of the land acquisition costs for this section, which is estimated to cost Rs 18,772 crore. A proposal is also being prepared for Cabinet approval.
