India, April 19 -- BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao announced the party's decision to boycott the upcoming MLC elections under the Hyderabad local bodies quota. He made the announcement during a strategy meeting held at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday with BRS MLAs, MLCs, corporators, and senior leaders from the Greater Hyderabad region.
KTR said the party will issue a whip to all its corporators, and strict action will be taken against those who defy it. He asserted that whenever Assembly elections are held, the people will bring BRS back to power due to its decade-long track record of development and welfare.
