Hyderabad, March 14 -- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) held statewide protests on Friday against the suspension of senior MLA Jagadish Reddy from the Telangana Assembly.
Party leaders and workers, responding to the call of BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, staged demonstrations from Alampur to Adilabad and symbolically burnt effigies of the state government. They demanded the immediate revocation of Reddy's suspension.
Several BRS legislators, former ministers, ex-lawmakers, district presidents, and other leaders participated in the protests, accusing the Congress government of political vendetta.
