Hyderabad, April 11 -- The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has approached the Telangana High Court challenging the police's refusal to grant permission for its proposed silver jubilee public meeting in Warangal. Hearing the petition, the court on Thursday adjourned the matter to 17 April.

BRS leaders urged the court to direct the police to allow the party to conduct the meeting at the historic Ekalavya ground in Warangal on 27 April from 10 am to 10 pm, as part of its silver jubilee celebrations. The petition named the Home Secretary, Warangal Police Commissioner, and Kazipet ACP as respondents.
