Hyderabad, March 24 -- The Telangana Legislative Assembly witnessed strong protests from opposition parties on Monday, with BRS and BJP MLAs demanding immediate relief measures for farmers. The BRS legislators, led by K.T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, moved an adjournment motion seeking a debate on the Congress government's alleged failure to implement the Warangal Farmers' Declaration, particularly the promise to waive crop loans up to Rs 2 lahks.

As soon as the session began, BRS MLAs raised slogans demanding urgent discussion on loan waivers. Harish Rao insisted on the immediate implementation of the promised debt relief. The BRS members wore black ribbons as a mark of protest and called on the government to stand by the farmers.
