Hyderabad, Jan. 31 -- Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar accused the Congress government of attempting to halt the Rythu Bharosa scheme under the pretext of enforcing the election code of conduct.



In a statement issued on Friday, he argued that since the scheme is a continuous welfare initiative, the Election Commission should not have any objections.



With the upcoming Graduate and Teachers' Constituency elections for the Telangana Legislative Council, Bandi Sanjay insisted that the scheme should remain unaffected. He stated that if necessary, the BJP, through its state president Kishan Reddy, would formally approach the Election Commission to ensure its implementation.
