Hyderabad, Feb. 24 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for biennial elections to fill vacancies in the Legislative Councils of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where members are retiring on 29 March 2025.
In Telangana, five Council seats will become vacant. The election notification will be issued on 3 March, with the last date for filing nominations set for 10 March. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on 11 March, and candidates can withdraw their nominations by 13 March. Voting will be held on 20 March from 9 AM to 4 PM, followed by the counting of votes and declaration of results at 5 PM.
