PATNA HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON SARFARAZ NAWAZ V/S THE UNION OF INDIA

PATNA, India, April 21 -- Patna High Court issued the following judgment on April 18:

Heard learned counsel for the appellant and learned counsel for the National Investigating Agency (in short 'NIA').

2. This appeal is arising out of the order dated 13.06.2024 (hereinafter called 'the impugned order') passed by learned Special Judge, NIA, Patna, Bihar (hereinafter called the 'learned trial court') in Special Case No. 07 of 2022/R.C. No. 31 of 2022.

3. By the impugned order, the learned trial court has been pleased to reject the prayer for bail of the appellant during the ongoing trial. The appellant is aggrieved by and dissatisfied with the order of the learned trial court.
