Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant writ application has been filed for a direction upon the respondents to make payment of the arrears of difference of salary to the petitioner for the period 01.04.1997 to 31.10.2014 to the tune of Rs.8,92,680/- which has still not been paid by the respondents and which the petitioner is entitled to be paid on account of grant of 5th and 6th pay revision to the University employees.
