MEGHALAYA HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON KOMORRAH LIMESTONE MINING COMPANY V/S UNION OF INDIA

SHILLONG, India, April 29 -- Meghalaya High Court issued the following judgment on April 8:

1. Heard Mr. L.M. Sangma, learned counsel for the petitioner, who has produced communication No. IBM/GHY/EKH/LST/MS-2 dated 23.8.2018, the same being brought on record and marked as Annexure-X. The learned counsel has submitted that in view of the remarked at Clause 16 of the said communication, wherein it is stated that: "16. The next Review and Mining Plan for the subsequent remaining period of the lease upto 24.5.2023 shall become due on 02.10.2022".
