1. Subject petition has been styled as public interest litigation seeking to challenge the compassionate appointment given to respondent no.8.
2. The petition states that the petitioner is a journalist and claims to have no personal interest in the matter. As per the petition, the compassionate appointment was given to respondent no.8 on the demise of his father. It is stated that the father of the respondent no.8 expired in the year 1965 and subject compassionate appointment was done in the year 1989.
