RANCHI, India, Jan. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 15:
1. Heard the parties.
2. The petitioner is praying to release the amount of Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) of which the deceased son of the petitioner was a member.
3. Admittedly, Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI) was with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) at Jabalpur, where the deceased son of the petitioner was working.
4. Admittedly, no cause of action arose within the territorial jurisdiction of the High Court of Jharkhand.
5. This writ petition is thus dismissed on the ground of lack of territorial jurisdiction.
