RANCHI, India, May 24 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on April 24:
1. Heard the parties.
2. This anticipatory bail application under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, has been preferred by the petitioner apprehending his arrest for offences under Sections 302, 307 and 34 IPC and Section 27 of the Arms Act.
3. Learned A.P.P. representing the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail.
4. It is alleged that due to a land dispute where the boundary wall of the informant was being demolished, the entire incident occurred. The informant and others went to stop the persons who were present but one Manoranjan Giri shot Janki Yadav and Pawan Kumar Yadav. Janki Yadav later on died.
