JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON SANTOSH SINGH AND ANOTHER V/S THE STATE OF JHARKHAND

RANCHI, India, April 27 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on April 2:

1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

2. The petitioners are apprehending their arrest in connection with Complaint (C.E.) Case No.1741/2023, registered for the alleged offence under Section 47(a), 47(e) and 55 of the Excise Act, pending in the Court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Garhwa.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the case and the allegations are made that Maruti Wagon-R was seized with 81 litre of liquor in front of house of petitioner no.2.
