RANCHI, India, Jan. 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 15:
1. Heard the parties.
2. Candidature of the petitioner for the post of Chowkidar has been rejected. The ground of rejection is that the petitioner does not belong to the same "Beat".
3. In the counter affidavit also the respondents have taken the same plea that since the petitioner does not belong to the same "Beat", he was disqualified.
4. The issue as to whether the petitioner should be resident of the same "Beat" for seeking appointment has already been set at rest by the Division Bench of this Court in WP(S) No. 1498 of 2025 and analogous cases.
