RANCHI, India, April 6 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on March 6:
1. This writ petition was initially filed by Dropadi Mahato praying for compassionate appointment in favor of her elder son namely, Laxmi Pada Mahato on the ground that her husband namely, Shambhunath Mahato, a government employee working as Panchayat Sevak died in harness. The original writ petitioner also expired. Thus she was substituted by all her legal heirs including Laxmi Pada Mahato for whom compassionate appointment was sought.
2. The government employee namely, Shambhunath Mahato died in harness on 12.08.1994. During argument it has been informed to this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner that at the time of death of the employee,...
