RANCHI, India, Jan. 19 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on Dec. 18:
1. Heard the parties.
2. The petitioner prays for reinstatement in service and recall his order of suspension.
3. Admittedly, the petitioner, who was a Panchayat Secretary, was arrested in connection with Vigilance Case No. 20 of 2017 for the offence under Section(s) 7, 13(2) and 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1998. The said criminal case ended in conviction. A criminal appeal against the order of conviction was pending before this Court and the petitioner has been released on bail.
4. Since the petitioner has been released on bail, he prays that his suspension order be revoked and he may be allowed to join on duty.
