JHARKHAND HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON ASIT C. MEHTA AND OTHERS V/S THE STATE OF JHARKHAND AND ANOTHER

RANCHI, India, May 14 -- Jharkhand High Court issued the following order on April 15:

1. Heard the parties.

2. This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed invoking the jurisdiction of this Court under Section 528 of the B.N.S.S., 2023 with a prayer to quash the entire criminal proceeding including the order taking cognizance dated 21.01.2016 passed in P.C.R. Case No.192 of 2010 whereby and where under the learned Judicial Magistrate-1st Class, Dumka has taken cognizance of the offences punishable under Sections 409/120B of the Indian Penal Code.
