MUMBAI, India, March 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517013683 A) filed by Magrix (PTY) Ltd., Centurion, South Africa, on Feb. 18, for 'the control of nematodes.'
Inventor(s) include Noome, Hildsley, Dagmar, Owen; and Lockington, Ian, Richard.
The application for the patent was published on March 28, under issue no. 13/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A nematicidal composition includes curcin or a curcin-like protein as active nematicidal ingredient. The curcin or curcin-like protein is a protein which has at least 90% sequence identity with the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1. A method of controlling nematodes is also provided."
