MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321086786 A) filed by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Dec. 19, 2023, for 'method for improving galactosylation profile and reducing oxidized species in production of pembrolizumab.'
Inventor(s) include Viki Chopda; Shashi Kumar; Aditya Vatte; Dr. Laxmi Adhikary; and Dr. Velu Mahalingam.
The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a method of producing Pembrolizumab, comprising supplementing cell culture with methionine and MnCl2."
