Intellectual Property India Publishes Patent Application for 'Method And Device For Picture Encoding And Decoding' Filed by Interdigital Vc Holdings, Inc.

MUMBAI, India, March 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202518013896 A) filed by Interdigital Vc Holdings, Inc., Wilmington, U.S.A., on Feb. 18, for 'method and device for picture encoding and decoding.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An encoding method is presented. Transform coefficients of a block are first obtained. They are then scanned according to a scan pattern for entropy coding. The scan pattern is determined responsive to a shape of the block."
