HIMACHAL PRADESH HIGH COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON PRERNA MEHTA V/S STATE OF H.P. AND ANOTHER

SHIMLA, India, April 26 -- Himachal Pradesh High Court issued the following judgment on March 26:

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the case of the petitioner is covered by the decision of a Division Bench of this Court in LPA No. 21 of 2013, titled as State of HP & others vs. Ravinder Kumar, decided on 4.10.2019, alongwith connected matters.

2. Accordingly, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in terms of the decision of this Court in Ravinder Kumar's case supra, expeditiously, preferably within eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
