GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON MOHAN DAS V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM

GUWAHATI, India, June 26 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on May 27:

1. Heard Mr. S. Nawaz, the learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Ms. S.H. Bora, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam.

2. This application under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the petitioner, namely, Mohan Das, who is apprehending his arrest by Dharamtul police in connection with an FIR, which is filed against him by one Mantu Medhi.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that on 17.05.2025, there was an altercation between the petitioner and Mantu Medhi, where abusive languages were exchanged between both the parties.
