GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON KAKADONGA TEA ESTATE AND ANOTHER V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM AND OTHERS

GUWAHATI, India, June 17 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on May 19:

1. Heard Mr. N. Deka, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Ms. A. Bhattacharyya, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2 & 3 and Mr. Rakesh Sarmah, learned Amicus Curiae.

By way of this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners are seeking a writ in the nature of certiorari for setting aside and quashing the Award dated 07.06.2014 passed by the learned Industrial Tribunal, Dibrugarh, in Reference Case No.3/2010 (which was published vide a Notification dated 31.07.2014).
