GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON HIMANSHU KR THAKUR V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM

GUWAHATI, India, July 10 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on June 10:

1. Heard Mr. S. Rahman, the learned counsel for the petitioner, namely, Himanshu Kr. Thakur, who submits that on 26.05.2025, this Court granted interim bail to the petitioner, and in pursuant to the directions of this Court, he has appeared before the Investigating Officer and has cooperated in the investigation.

2. Also heard Mr. R.J. Baruah, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor who has produced the Case Diary of Chariduar P.S. Case No. 61/2025 and has submitted that the statement of the petitioner under Section 180 of the BNS, 2023 has been recorded.
