GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON ARIFUL ISLAM V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM

GUWAHATI, India, July 10 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on June 10:

1. Heard Mr. S Ahmed, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. K K Parasar, the learned Additional Public for the State of Assam.

2. Mr. Parasar submits that pursuant to the interim order granted by the Court on 07.04.2025, the petitioner Ariful Islam has appeared and has co-operated with theInvestigating Officer.

3. Since the petitioner is co-operating with the investigating officer, he does not deserve to be detained in custody. Therefore, his pre-arrest bail application is allowed.

4. It is hereby directed that the interim bail granted by the Court on 07.04.2025 in favour of the petitioner, Ariful Islam is hereby made abso...
