GAUHATI HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER FOR JAHIDUL ISLAM V/S THE STATE OF ASSAM

GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 8 -- Gauhati High Court issued the following order on Oct. 9:

Heard Mr. M. U. Mondal, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. B. Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State.

Mr. B. Sharma, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State, in terms of the direction passed by this Court vide order dated 08.10.2025, has submitted on instructions that there is no case registered against the petitioner with regard to theft of cattle.

In view of the above submissions, made by Mr. B. Sharma, Mr. M. U. Mondal, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he be permitted to withdraw the present bail application.

Accordingly, the present bail application stands dismissed on withdrawal.
