As per latest data published by National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) pertaining to the year 2022; State-wise and year-wise details of seizures and number of cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act during 2018 to 2022 is at Annexure-I and II respectively.
Inquiry, findings and the action taken in seizure of huge quantities of drugs which involve international rackets are conducted by the respective Drug Law Enforcement Agencies. During the period 2020 to 2025 (upto May), NCB has registered 116 major cases wherein 109318 kgs of drugs have been seized.
