India, March 10 -- The Government of India issued the following news release:

The Government of India had established the National Mission on Monuments and Antiquities (NMMA) in 2007 to prepare two national registers on monuments and antiquities. So far the NMMA has digitized 12,34,937 Antiquities and 11,406 Built Heritage & Sites.

An amount of Rs. 20 lakh were allocated for the NMMA during the FY 2024-25.

4,46,068 antiquities of ASI Museums / Circles / Branches Annexure-I and 7,88,869 from other institutions have been digitized by the NMMA Annexure-II. Details of which are available at NMMA website for public access at
