The Magadh and Amrapali mines in Jharkhand together contribute around 50% of Central Coalfields Limited's total coal production in 2024-25, thereby supporting the national objective of assured coal supply for power generation under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Magadh and Amrapali coal mines have estimated mineable reserves of 854.91 MT and 456.34 MT respectively and are expected to generate net sales revenue of Rs. 2,812 crore and Rs. 2,367 crore during FY 2025-26. These mines contribute to local development through employment and livelihood support to Project Affected Persons (PAPs) and nearby villagers.
