India, Jan. 12 -- The Government of India has issued a release:
Headline Inflation: Year-on-year inflation rate based on All India Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the month of December, 2025 over December, 2024 is 1.33% (Provisional). There is an increase of 62 basis points in headline inflation of December, 2025 in comparison to November, 2025.
Food Inflation: Year-on-year inflation rate based on All India Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) for the month of December, 2025 over December, 2024 is -2.71% (Provisional). Corresponding inflation rates for rural and urban are -3.08% and -2.09%, respectively. An increase of 120 basis points is observed in food inflation in December, 2025 in comparison to November, 2025.
