It gives me immense pleasure to address Houses of the Parliament assembled together. The previous year has been memorable for celebrating India's rapid development and its rich heritage. This period has brought many inspirations with it. At present, India is celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram. The people of India are paying homage to Rishi Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay for this profound source of inspiration. I congratulate the Honourable Members that a special discussion in Parliament was organised on this auspicious occasion.
