NEW DELHI, June 10 -- On Thursday, while stopping at the bookshop at Indira Gandhi International Airport, I saw the book 101 Reasons: Why I Will Vote For Modi." It is a graphic novel by Shantanu Gupta. I did not even touch the book, so this is not at all a comment on it. The title triggered a thought, which is reflected here. So many reasons welled up in my mind for why I would not vote for Modi. Let me list them here.

1. Meditation is prayer at its best. It is done in seclusion, far from the maddening crowd. What Modi did at Kanyakumari was farcical.

2. It is not compulsory to go to church/temple/mosque etc. It is not proper to spend crores of public money to visit such places. Modi should spend his own money.
