India, Nov. 4 -- The draft National Education Policy (NEP) 2019 is all set to be placed before the Cabinet for approval. The Draft NEP (DNEP) has left several academicians and educationists dissatisfied. DNEP supporters say that it will provide reforms at all levels of education from school to higher education. President Ram Nath Kovind recently said that the new Education Policy will help establish the country as a "knowledge superpower" and get global recognition for talents of students.
Notwithstanding the government efforts to finalise the draft NEP, several educationists and academicians have objected to the draft on the ground that it is against the federal character of the Constitution.
