Bangalore, Dec. 8 -- 19 Boys and Girls Chess Championship, organised by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI). A total of 32 units (64 teams of boys & girls), with over 300 students from across the country, participated in the event, representing State and Union Territory Directorates of Education as well as major national school boards, including the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), and the Indian Public Schools Conference (IPSC) and International Board School Sports Organization (IBSSO.)
