India, Feb. 13 -- New research from Brunel University London explains why the use of live facial recognition (LFR) technology by law enforcement authorities does not require new legislation. It outlines the UK laws, policies and guidelines that protect us from any potential harm and reinforces how it keeps us safe and helps fight crime.

Facial recognition technology has become an integral part of everyday life. Many of us use it to unlock our mobile phones and tablets, and it has eliminated the need to input details and passwords manually for things like online banking and checks at the border.
