India, May 16 -- A groundbreaking study led by researchers from The University of Western Australia, in collaboration with teams from Australia, Europe and North America, has uncovered a significant association between low testosterone levels in men and an elevated risk of cardiovascular death and all-cause mortality.

Published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, the systematic review and meta-analysis examined 11 studies involving 24,000 male participants.

The researchers aimed to clarify the impact of sex hormones on key health outcomes in ageing men, shedding light on previous inconsistent findings.
