Kasaragod, Jan. 26 -- Kasaragod:The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the Central University of Kerala through a series of programmes held at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Bhavan. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Siddu P. Algur unfurled the National Flag and delivered the Republic Day address.
In his message, Prof. Algur recalled Dr. B. R. Ambedkar's profound observation that political democracy cannot survive without social democracy. He emphasised that social democracy rests on three core pillars - liberty, equality, and fraternity - and stressed that educators have a vital responsibility to ensure that none of these pillars is weakened.
