India, Sept. 23 -- Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia founder and Penguin Press author of LET MY PEOPLE GO SURFING: THE EDUCATION OF A RELUCTANT BUSINESSMAN has announced that he is giving his company away. The New York Times reported that Chouinard and his family have transferred their ownership of Patagonia, valued at about $3 billion to a specially designed set of trusts and nonprofit organizations that were created to ensure that all of its profits are used to combat climate change and protect undeveloped land around the world.
