Hyderabad, June 21 -- Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said that the State Government received 8.58 lakh applications related to land disputes during the recently held revenue conferences across Telangana. The highest number of applications came from Khammam (67,000), followed by Bhadradri Kothagudem (61,000), Warangal (54,000), Gopalpalli (48,000), and Nalgonda (42,000).
The Minister was speaking at the concluding session of the Revenue Conference, where he reviewed the proceedings with senior officials of the department. He stated that the Revenue Department had become dysfunctional during the 10-year rule of the BRS Government, but efforts were now being made to restore its credibility and efficiency.
