India, Dec. 1 -- Paramedic scientist Dr Ziad Nehme from the Department of Acute and Critical Care in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, and Director of the Centre for Research and Evaluation, Ambulance Victoria, has been awarded the 2025 Commonwealth Health Minister's Award for Excellence in Health and Medical Research.
The Health Minister's Award is given annually to the top-ranked National Health and Medical Research Council (NHRMC) Investigator Grant in Emerging Leadership Level 2 category in the previous year's round. Dr Nehme was awarded a $1.4 million grant focused on advancing the evidence-base in cardiac arrest and resuscitation.
