The report reveals detailed information on various developments on mobile platforms and analyzes the top downloaded apps, based on the finding that there has been a dramatic growth in app downloads/usage and phone usage during the lockdown triggered by COVID-19 or coronavirus. The number of new apps downloaded in Q1 2020 was 22.5 billion on Google Play (5% YoY growth) and 9 billion on the iTunes App Store (15% YoY growth).
