India, May 24 -- The parents of children studying in private schools in Shimla met Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today to apprise him about various problems including recently increased bus pass fare.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed that earlier there were two slabs for bus pass fare including Rs 1800 for 0 to 5 kilometers and Rs 2500 for distance more than 5 kilometers. He said now three slabs have been created to give relief to the students studying in the private schools in Shimla city. Under the first slab, the fare has been reduced by Rs 600 to Rs 1200 for the distance from 0 to 6 kilometers. The distance has been increased by one kilometer under first slab which earlier was 0 t0 5 kilometers.
