India, Oct. 31 -- Rome-The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Satellite Centre (UNOSAT) today released new geospatial analysis revealing extensive and worsening damage to the agricultural sector in the Gaza Strip. The findings show widespread destruction ofcropland,greenhouses,irrigation wells, andother agricultural infrastructure- assets essential for food production and livelihoods. Overall, Gaza's agricultural base has been devastated, but the current ceasefire has created a narrow and time-sensitive opening to begin restoring food production and livelihoods.
