India, June 29 -- Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that India's women-its 'matrushakti'-have elevated the nation's prestige. He said that India respects its daughters and sisters like no other place in the world, citing Raksha Bandhan as a unique celebration of sibling love that lasts for seven lifetimes-beyond comparison.

To honour this bond, the state government will increase the Raksha Bandhan gift amount for Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries by Rs.250. From the upcoming Diwali, beneficiaries will receive Rs.1500 per month, which will be increased to Rs.3000 by the year 2028.
