India, Feb. 7 -- The European Commission has opened an in-depth investigation to assess, under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation ('FSR'), the activities of Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. ('Goldwind') in the production and sale of wind turbines and the provision of related services within the EU. The Commission has preliminary concerns that Goldwind may have been granted foreign subsidies that could distort the EU internal market.

Goldwind is headquartered in the People's Republic of China ('PRC') and is mainly active in the sector of wind turbine manufacturing, R&D, sales, and servicing. Goldwind is active in the internal market, including through Vensys and its other subsidiaries.
