Anantnag, June 6 -- The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, K. K. Sidha today convened a meeting of officers to review the progress of education sector.
On the occasion, the DDC stressed for establishing of smart class rooms to speed up the literacy rate particularly among girl students and to improve the quality of education.
The DDC instructed the officers of Education Department to focus on extracurricular activities, in addition to academics besides organise teacher-training programmes on regular basis and ensure textbook distribution among students.
Sidha directed for providing quality mid-day meals as per the COVID-19 guidelines and ensure full attendance in tele-classrooms.
