India, July 3 -- New Delhi -Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power, Government of India, andIndian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee)have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote collaboration in research, planning, innovation, and capacity building in the Indian power sector.

The MoU was signed in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry of Power, CEA, and IIT Roorkee. This strategic partnership seeks to synergise the academic and research strengths of IIT Roorkee with the technical and regulatory expertise of CEA to address key challenges in the power sector and support India's energy transition.
