Kolkata, Jan. 25 -- The twelfth edition of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival today hosted an encouraging session "Checkmate" with Grandmaster, Viswanathan Anand. Eminent sports journalist Boria Majumdar, who is also a celebrated sports writer moderated the session.

In a country obsessed with the newest Netflix show, the Queen's Gambit, Viswanathan Anand is a name that introduced India's youth to the magic that is chess. From being a Grandmaster to being the poster-boy of alternate sporting careers in the country, Vishy Anand changed the way chess was witnessed and written.
