ALIGARH, May 29 -- The Department of Social Work, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has brought pride to both the university and District Aligarh by winning the Uttar Pradesh State Level Award for 'Best Electoral Practices in Voters' Education and Awareness'. The honour was conferred by the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh.

Shri Sanjiv Ranjan, IAS, District Magistrate and District Election Officer, Aligarh, presented the award to Prof. Naseem Ahmad Khan, Chairperson of the Department of Social Work, and Dr. Mohammad Tahir. This marks the first time that AMU and District Aligarh have received this recognition at the state level.
